Glossary

Short definitions of the terms used across the Calendar0 app, documentation and blog. Terms are alphabetical.

Account

One signed-in calendar login — for example a Google Workspace account or a personal iCloud account. Calendar0 can connect several accounts at once and shows their calendars together. See Connecting Calendars.

AI command

A natural-language instruction typed into the chat tab, such as lunch with Sarah tomorrow at noon or am I free at 2pm?. Calendar0 turns it into a calendar action (create, move, cancel, look up) and shows what it will do before sending any invite. The Starter plan includes 3 free commands; paid plans are unlimited. Availability (free/busy)

Whether a person is free or has an event in a given time range. Calendar0 checks availability across every connected account before scheduling, and across every attendee it can see, to avoid double-booking. See Finding Time.

Booking link

A public page (calendar0.app/book/<username>/<slug>) where someone can pick a free slot in your calendar without emailing back and forth. Each link has its own duration, availability windows and meeting location.

Buffer

Empty time deliberately kept between two meetings — for example 10 minutes after a call. Bulk operations can add buffers to a whole day of back-to-back meetings at once.

Bulk operation

Selecting several events and changing them together: adding buffers, moving them, or resizing them. See Managing Events.

Calendar

A single named list of events inside an account — for example "Work", "Personal" or a shared team calendar. An account usually has several calendars; you choose which ones Calendar0 displays.

Conflict calendar

A calendar that is hidden from the grid but still counts as "busy" when checking availability or booking. Useful for a partner's or a second job's calendar that should block time without cluttering your view.

Contact resolution

How the AI turns a partial name (Sarah) into an email address, by searching Google Contacts, Google Workspace and the Microsoft directory. See Scheduling Meetings.

Default calendar

The calendar new events are written to when you don't name one. Set per account in Settings.

Menubar / system tray

The strip of small icons next to the clock — top-right on macOS ("menubar"), bottom-right on Windows ("system tray"). Calendar0 lives there so your schedule is one click away without opening a browser.

Provider

The service that hosts a calendar: Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 / Outlook, or Apple Calendar (iCloud). Google and Microsoft connect with OAuth, so Calendar0 never sees those passwords; Apple connects over CalDAV with an app-specific password rather than your Apple ID password.

RSVP

Accepting, declining or tentatively accepting an invitation. Calendar0 lets you RSVP from the event card without opening the provider's web app.

Starter plan

The free plan: unlimited providers and calendars, full event editing, notifications, one-click video-call join, and 3 AI commands.

Token

The credential that lets Calendar0 read and write your calendar on your behalf — an OAuth token for Google and Microsoft, the app-specific password for Apple. The desktop app keeps it in your operating system's secure storage (Keychain on macOS, Credential Manager on Windows); the web app and booking links keep it encrypted at rest in Calendar0's account store.
